ATC Accordion Inspiration Book

I told y'all, I was addicted to these books...I had to make one today, using my ATC die cuts and ATC frame die cuts and Mini ATC die cuts...I used various Cuttlebug embossing folders on the panels of the accordion book...various Hero Arts foliage images stamped on the mini atc shapes, Stampabilities images and Innovative Stamp Creations images...stamped on vellum and attached with brads...

I used my stipple brushes and various Adirondack inks to add color to each page...I used Walnut distress inks to accent all the edges of each piece...See more of my accordion ATC book original design creations and projects in the next few postings...

Embossed ATC Frames

This ATC with embossed frame is for a swap I joined on a yahoo group...I used stamps from Innovative Stamp Creations and the delicious new Adirondack Pigment Inks in the blue shades...Organza ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon was added as an accent on the frame and slipped into an ATC sleeve...
I used my embossed faux metal technique to do the frame for this ATC...its going to be included in a background papers swap I am in...I had to make 3 different sheets of background paper...one of the sheets I made was using the same background as this ATC is made from...I then stamped the images from Purple Onion Designs using black ink...its very subtle, but very elegant in real life...

ATC Artist Trading Cards are Fun to Make

I love to make ATC's...so much, that I designed my own custom die, so I can cut them from just about everything imaginable...This one uses some of the beautiful images from Innovative Stamp Creations...I used one of the photo holder die cuts as a label on the frame...I stamped the face image on the ATC and then used a background crackle type image to stamp the ATC frame...
This is one of my favorite stamp sets from The Angel Company...I stamped the Giraffe image, masked it, then stamped a background image over that...I then used some chalking to accent the giraffe...I inked up the frame by just rubbing the ink pad across the white die cut, then stamped the words...on the Mini ATC, I stamped the background image, then the giraffe wording and sponged some darker ink around the edges...
This framed ATC uses more stamps from Innovative Stamp Creations...I stamped the scenic image in blue ink on the white ATC die cut, then used some chalking to add effects...I stamped the frame with the background image and wording, then sponged blue ink around the edges...This is one of my favorite ATC's I have ever made...
I stamped this image from Innovative Stamp Creations onto a glossy cardstock ATC and then used various Marvy Waterbased Markers to color the image...I did heat set the Archival black ink before coloring...

ATC book continued

Now, I stamped the 2 inch section...this will become the front of the pockets in the accordian...
Turn the cardstock over and stamp at least 3 inches of the upper part of the 4 inch section...
Now, fold the front of the pocket up and glue the tabs around the backside of the accordian...I then stamped my words and phrases...as well as my ATC's...All stamps used are from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps...The link is available in my Favorite Places section on the blog...
Here are the ATC's, I made for this ATC Pocket Accordian Book...

ATC's and Puzzle Pieces

This ATC uses one of Betsy's ATC stamps... http://www.innovativestampcreations.com/ I love this stamp and use it for more than ATC's...I added a layer of Ranger Glossy Accents to the butterfly to give it dimension...The background was created using masking and stippling color on...
This is one of Betsy's neat collage images...I love this stamp...you can cut the image apart and use it with all sorts of projects...I masked sections of the ATC, then stamped the image and stippled on Ranger ink colors...
I stamped that same image onto a puzzle piece, then using a blender pen, colored in each section of the stamped image
This puzzle piece I cut from glossy cardstock, then stamped various stamps from Innovative Stamp Creations and trimed the edge with black...

I just love these stamps from Purple Onion...I used Carnation and Tangerine Ranger inks to color the background of the ATC and after running the ATC frame thru the Cuttlebug embossing folder I used the same colors to enhance the embossed areas...I used a photo holder die cut to stamp the word on and used flower brads to attach it...

ATC's

ATC's-Artist Trading Cards-are wonderful little pieces of artwork...The only rule for an ATC is it must be 3.5 x 2.5 inches...The can be cut from just about any surface media...Cardstock, chipboard, mat board, foam core, fabric, wood and more...You can decorate your ATC in just about any media there is...I love to create stamped ATC's...I have even done miniature decorative paintings on them...They are a wonderful canvas for creating mini masterpieces...I have my ATC's in a three ring binder album, with each ATC in a baseball card sleeve...I have ATC's that I have collected in trades and swaps for about 10 years now...Here are a few of the most recent ATC's I have done...These ATC's are done from a die cut I designed...I have a custom die cut ATC and Frame with a 2.5 x 1.5 inch opening...They make perfect little framed art ATC's...I also use these in my scrapbooking too...they are perfect size frames for my Altered Art Tag Books...
