File Card Recipe Book Idea

These two pages are just the beginning of my book...I used 3 of the file card die cuts, covered them with coordinating pattern papers and computer generated the recipes onto white 24# laser text weight paper...I tore around each recipe, as I like this look, colored each with ink and then layered each onto coordinating colors of cardstock...I will go back and add some other foo foo to each page after I get it done...The book will use 3 file cards and 6 recipes and bind it all binding...I will show ya the book again after i get it finished...

File Card Book Kit by Robin Willis

Our design team member Robin Willis created this File Card Book from our kit, covering the chipboard file cards with various pattern papers and cardstocks...She used lots of our other die cuts as embellishments and to make page layouts...I will be adding some photos to this book soon and will show it to you again later...For more info about ordering the File Card Book Kit check out http://thestudioinpreston.blogspot.com To see more of Robin's work and her blog, click on the link to the right under My Favorite Places...

File Card Book with Brackets and Swirls and Flourishes

I got a couple hours of playtime yesterday...10 minutes at a time...but none the less, playtime...Mother has a cell phone and would call me when she needed something, so at least I was able to create for a while...This is my newest project...a File Card Book...oh, there are so many possibilities with this book...I know I did not do it justice, but wanted so much to share my new toys with you...
After I cut the file cards from chip board, I covered one side with pattern paper and one side with cardstock, that I had colored with ink directly from the pads, to create a faux fabric effect...I love that technique and have used it for years in my projects...I used stamps from Innovative Stamp Creations http://www.innovativestampcreations.com/ to over stamp the backgrounds and create backgrounds on the cardstock pages...Betsy's new stamps have been awesome to coordinate with the new die cuts we have...
And to complete the whole thing...I got my new Cuttlebug embossing folders and oh my gosh...are they "killer" with the die cuts...I also used lots of Stickles glitter glues on the brackets and swirls and flourishes...I love the way the glittery die cuts then look on the pages...

I will have a special offer to post on this book kit...y'all just bear with me...hopefully by tonight, I can get a little more computer time to finish updating and posting...
