Gift bag and Sticky notes book...another one

I had been wanting to use these black and white printed papers in a project...just was not sure which one...until this morning...I had a couple hours to spend, while waiting on my hubby to get done in court...so I played...
I stamped the die cut bag and sticky note book with a background stamp from Hero Arts using black distress ink...
I stamped the word image from Stampabilities on a scrap of white, distressed the edges, then sponged with the black ink...I also distressed the edges of the striped pattern paper layer then glued it onto the front of the book...I wanted to add a splash of color and chose the little silk flowers that were white with the hot pink on the petal edges...
I added a layer to the inside of the cover and the mini calendar with another flower, just to brighten up the inside...
Here is the finished book and bag...This will be a gift for a friend at the Court house where I work part time...

Gift Bag and Sticky Note Book

We had such a good time in the studio yesterday...I decided to add a little goodie to my gift bag project...I used all the same materials and decorated one of the sticky notes book die cuts to add to the gift bag...
I used a piece of coordinating pattern paper to line the inside and attached a mini calendar...
Here is the overview of the bag with the book inside...I dont have the post it note pad in there yet...I could only find a pink one and wanted a green or yellow for this book...
This is the finished bag and book...A special friend is going to get this as a gift next month...Be sure and check out the studio blog for both of these die cuts

Gift bag with G'man...

I love Gingerbread men...I think they are just the neat decorative item for the holidays...I used the die cut gift bag, stamped with that beautiful swirly background image from ISC...I sponged butterscotch ink on the gingerbread man die cut, then used ginger ink to sponge the edges...I added the mini heart punched shape, cause all g'men have heart...I used the little eyes stamp from Victorine Originals...you can also just add dots from a marker or even paint from a brush handle...
I am going to make a few of these to give some cookies in for a holiday event I will go to in November...I think they are just cute as can be...

Trick or Treat Gift Bag

I just had to make another gift bag today...I got my new collage sheets in from Lisa's Altered Art...be sure and check out all the cool sheets she has, you can find her link under my favorites label...I cut out the girl with basket of pumpkins and glued her onto cardstock, then trimmed her out...I used my label maker for the words...I stamped the beautiful swirl image from Innovative Stamp Creations all over the die cut bag, after having rubbed butterscotch pigment ink all over it...
I used a coordinating pattern paper to layer the front, back and both sides of the bag, I could not resist the beautiful velvet rick rack from Really Reasonable Ribbon, oh my gosh, that stuff is grande...I added a decorative pumpkin button also...

Gift Bag Mania...

...does one count as mania...LOL...I am just loving these gift bags...I used a distress ink pad to tone down the white of the die cut gift bag, then used brown ink and the wonderful little crackles stamp from Innovative Stamp Creations...I stamped the areas that would show after I layered the pattern paper...I cut the pattern paper pieces, distressed the edges with my scissors and added some sponged on brown ink...
I got some gorgeous ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon and its green on one side, pink on the other...I just envisioned leaves created by folding it...so I made a few loops, and attached it to the bag front...I used some silk flowers that I added dimensional glitter paint to make the centers...once dry, I used glue dots to attach the flowers to the ribbon...The little gift tag was made using a domino die cut shape, folded in half...The stamped image from Innovative Stamp Creations was perfect for the mini card front...I added a prima flower with a gold brad and attached it to the handle area with a fine gold thread...
A friend has a birthday coming up soon, and I am going to make her a Sticky note book cover to match and give it to her in this little gift bag...We have more samples coming soon...so keep checking back to see what the designers have in the works next...

Gift Bag Ideas

This is the first project die I bought...I have loved making this little gift bag from a die cut for over 10 years...Its a great class project and can be themed for every holiday or season...I started with the white cardstock die cut...I rubbed yellow ink directly from the pad to color the bag die cut...I then used a gorgeous background image from Innovative Stamp Creations new stamp sheet and stamped the image in the same yellow color...I colored the little tag the same way, and added the message in ginger adirondack ink...
I cut the pattern paper pieces to fit the front and back and both sides of the box...I distressed the edges of those pieces, using my scissors, then sponged on some ginger colored ink...
I added the beautiful ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon to the die cut, so when the bag is folded and put together the ribbon is all the way around the box...I added some more silk flowers with gold brad centers to the front of the bag...I glued the ribbon and the flowers on with Ranger Glossy Accents...
I added the tag with a gorgeous raffia from Really Reasonable Ribbon...Stay tuned for more about this Gift Bag...We have some awesome designs from our designers and a special offer...yeah...we love specials don't we...For more info debbiesdiecuts@yahoo.com
