Elvis Mini Book Album

I finished the Elvis Mini Book Album for my hubby's birthday present next weekend...I used Elvis fabric and covered the chipboard shape for the album cover...
I loved the simplicity of the colors, the black and teal Elvis print was perfect for this color scheme...I copied photos of my hubby and printed them on glossy photo paper...

I wanted to use all those pictures of him and some with his little brother, so i decided to make little flip pages on the first teal page...

I love the way to page turned out...and each photo size being different adds to the look...

I didn't want too much foo foo...but I did use some of the swirls, flourishes and bracket die cuts throughout the book...I trimmed each photo, so that they would fit nicely on the pages and then layered each onto black cardstock, then used my corner rounder to add interest to the shapes...rounding all corners or just opposite ones...

The photos in this book tell a story that my hubby relates to and holds dear...The last picture is of his recent swearing in ceremony, he was made Captain and Chief Deputy...I added the last two photos on the inside black cover because I know they are special to him...his Pa and Grandma and his daddy riding a cow down the road...

Antique Brackette Shape Book...

I designed a new custom die for making books, cards and more...the Antique Brackette Shape is approx. 6x6...More projects are in the works...
I cut one of the chipboard shapes and two of the cardstock shapes in half to make this book...i then covered each piece with coordinating pattern paper and cardstock...I punched holes with my bind it all...I sponged all the edges lightly with brown ink...
This is the book cover so far...I made some faux ribbon using my Martha punch to decorate the edges of the green strip, covered a piece of cardstock with patterned paper and die cut the Sizzix frame, added decorative brads to attach the photo...I stamped the Amazing Grace on the cardstock ribbon strip and added some flowers...
I added a thin strip of green cardstock, layered the photo onto pink cardstock, distressed the edges and sponged with brown ink...
I had to take some "boo boo" face pictures...LOL...This baby only cries if she is hungry or tired...otherwise, she is a happy baby...so I grabbed the camera and took advantage of that face...
I covered some more cardstock with pattern paper and used the Sizzix die cut frames, added the top one to a round punched shape, perfect for the look of the background paper, and then added the punched piece to the side of the bottom frame, just for interest...I will add more foo foo, and still have to finish the other pages, will share those when I do...
