Tic Tac Toe-Fun 'n Games

I love to make games...and couldn't resist this one...I made a card and layered the game board on the card front...I used die cut hearts for the game pieces on this one...but the possibilities for game pieces is endless...The game will slip into the square envy die cut for sharing and storage...
This is the inside of the card...each side has a mini envy attached with the game pieces in each...Since there are 5 of each shape, color, etc of game pieces these little envy's hold 5 pieces perfectly...

Frames, Envy's and ATC's Oh My!!!

This frame uses stamps from Time To Stamp...I love Kristy's Bird Sheets...I have a bird charm somewhere and when I find it, I will finish this frame off with the charm...
I am having a ball with my envy die...I used stamps from Innovative Stamp Creations, Betsy has some awesome collage and art stamps...I am making a card for a friend and will send it in this envy... John Deere ATC...Fabric adhered to cardstock, cut with my ATC die...Tractor charm glued on with Ranger Glossy Accents...I made more than one of these...I may have to do an ATC trade soon...
This is my baby boy...my little grandson...I was experimenting with two looks here...not sure what from the looks of it Huh?...but I liked it...My grand daughter saw it this afternoon and said, Oh Nammy, it looks just like a little kid painted that...So...I guess I did achieve the look I was after...LOL...Only one stamp used, a splatter image from Innovative Stamp Creations...

More Frames with Easel Backs

This is a vintage looking frame...I started with a piece of pattern cardstock that looks like wood grain...then added the grunge image from Purple Onion Designs stamped lightly onto the frame...then sponged the edges with Tea Dye ink...
I just love John Deere Green...LOL...and now being married to a farm boy...he do look sexy on that tractor...LOL...This is John Deere fabric, attached to cardstock using Heat n Bond, then I die cut the frame...I added the Tractor charm using Ranger Glossy Accents to glue it to the frame...now if I can just find the photo I took of hubby on the tractor...
This is our Smokey Bear...I could not find my paw print stamp...Hmm...and that would be cause of my mess in the studio...so...I did the next best thing...I found a piece of tissue paper with paw prints on it...and using my Royal Coat Decoupage Medium, glued it onto the frame...once it was dry I trimmed away the excess with a craft knife...then I sponged the edges lightly with black ink and used my spritzer and a black and a red marvy waterbased marker to add the flecking...I die cut the letters using my Fruit Smoothie Sizzlets and small heart die cut...
I do not like to make shaker cards...I don't know why...but, every now and then I force myself to make one...just so I can say "oh, I can do that"...LOL...but I still don't like it...So this is what I came up with...The new square frame die cut was perfect to use for the Shaker Card, I have to admit that much...The stamped image in the Sizzix die cut flower center is from Innovative Stamp Creations...

Frames, Frames, Frames

I used a script image from Innovative Stamp Creations and Maroon Ranger ink...I sponged the edges with Tea Dye Ranger ink...added the silk flowers and used Gold Fabric paint to make the flower centers...
I stamped the sunflower image from Innovative Stamp Creations in black ink...used Marvy Waterbased Markers to color the flowers ink...then stippled green ink onto the rest of the frame...added gold fabric paint to the flower centers...and then used my black marvy marker and spritzer to add the black flecking...
I just adore how this frame turned out...I will be using it in my vacation scrapbook also...These are my new stamps from Purple Onion Designs...i just love these images...I added a little dab of gold fabric paint to the flower centers...
This is one of my favorite stamp sets...I am Irish...so I like using it...This stamp set is from The Stamping Studio...Melissa has some of the neatest stamp sets...I used Nick Bantock inks on this one...and my black marvy marker and spritzer to add the black flecking...I love the look the flecks create on the finished piece...I used to use that technique with my decorative painting all the time...

Framed Techniques

I cut this frame from glossy cardstock, used gold brilliance ink and a leaf image from Time To Stamp...I just love Kristy's leaves...then used a gold paint pen around the edges...its kinda dark...but it looks good in real life...
I cut this frame from lightweight white sided chipboard...then used Royal Coat Decoupage Medium and torn tissue paper to cover the frame...I added the gold accents for dimension...
I randomly applied Carnation and Tangerine Ranger Archival inks to the white cardstock frame...I stamped the images in black ink...then used a black waterbased marker and my spritzer to add the black flecking to the frame...I distress the edges and added the orange prima flower...Time To Stamp rubber stamps used here...
I really like this frame...again the leaf images from Time To Stamp...Ranger inks...added ribbon and leaf button...

Cuttlebugged Frames

These frames use the white core cardstock...I ran the frame thru the Cuttlebug embossing folder, used a sanding block to remove the color from the raised embossed areas...I then distress the edges of the frame... Notice the difference in the color of the cardstock, when photographed on the black background and the off white background...Same lighting...
I did the same techinique on this frame...so the snowflakes would take on more of the blue ink...I love this frame...now, I just gotta find all those snow pictures from years ago...

I've Been Framed

I will be adding this framed photo to my vacation scrapbook...I can't wait to do more vacation photos with this frame...
I just adore working with some of the older photos of my husband...this is my hubby and his little brother...The Harlequin image from Innovative Stamp Creations was a perfect background to layer the patterned paper over...The round stamped message is from Betsy's Alter It sheet...I just love those round stamps...you can see all Betsy's stamps at http://www.innovativestampcreations.com
Here again...that Harlequin image is one of my favorites...I layered the die cut frame onto a piece of black cardstock...I used a die cut hinge in black with gold glitter fabric paint in the holes, where you might put brads or eyelets...The fabric paints are perfect to make "faux brad tops"...

Decorative Painting from years ago

While going thru more boxes in my studio storage area, I found this wooden painted pig from years ago...Boy, did he bring back memories...This was one of my best selling pieces, when I did the country themed stuff...I made him into everything from paper towel holders to one large enough to go by the front door and hold a basket for visitors to leave notes in...He is a little scuffed from being packed all those years...but I am thinking of making a paper towel holder out of him for old times sake...
Isn't that just the cutest face...My kids used to call me little miss piggy...LOL...i only weighed 105 pounds and wasn't big as a minute...now...the name fits...with out the "little" that is...LOL...

ATC and ATC Frame

I just love these stamps from Purple Onion...I used Carnation and Tangerine Ranger inks to color the background of the ATC and after running the ATC frame thru the Cuttlebug embossing folder I used the same colors to enhance the embossed areas...I used a photo holder die cut to stamp the word on and used flower brads to attach it...

Studio Playtime Too...

I made a necklace out of one of my bamboo tiles...I added ribbon and a bead...I might wear this to work one day this week...
I joined a swap on SSR group, where we have to alter a wide popsicle stick or tongue depressor...I had never done this before...so this is my first attempt...This photo, is of the distress inked stick with images stamped in various Ranger colors...
This image is of the stick with Ranger Glossy Accents over the inked popsicle stick...This was cool...I got lots of wood pieces from my decorative painting days...wonder if I ought to alter some of them too...All stamps are from Innovative Stamp Creations...

Altered Die Cut Frame

I am hosting an Altered Die Cut Frame swap on my die cut group...This is my 4 x 5 die cut frame...cut from white 110# cardstock, I masked half the frame on the diagonal, used stamps from http://www.innovativestampcreations.com stamped the images, then used a stipple brush to add color...The silk flower was added for dimension...The photo was take at Providence Canyon, Lumpkin, Georgia...one of my favorite places to go and birdwatch...
After I did the frame I decided I wanted to display the photo on my desk at work...so I made an easel back for it...will share more on that later...I have another project in the works...

Autumn Gift Tags and Keepsake Box

After being inspired by one of my design team members and getting my new Purple Onion Stamps...I just had to create this gift tag and box set...The box will hold 6 gift tag cards in mini envy's...
Front side view of the box...Little gold fleck beads are glued onto the bottom for feet...The brass photo corner was a perfect accent for the box top...All inks are Ranger...
The Grunge Scroll stamp is awesome...I used it on the mini envy die cut from Debbie's Diecuts and cut a little fold over gift card to fit the envy from a piece of scrap cardstock...
This is the bottom of the box...I could not bear to leave it plain...so I stamped that grunge scroll on there too...All the die cuts are available at http://www.picturetrail.com/debbiesdiecuts

Anniversary Card for Hubby

This is the card I made for my wonderful hubby...I celebrate every anniversary of every first we have...I know...but its just my thing...Four years ago the 15th of this month, I met the wonderful man I could have ever dreamed of...so today I made him this card to remind him...as I do everyday...just what he means to me and what he has brought to my life...Betsy of http://www.innovativestampcreations.com made the Always stamp just for me...its on one of her sheets of word stamps...Her newest images are the ones I used for the center of the flower...All the stamps I used on this are from ISC and all inks are Ranger, which I also buy thru Betsy...
I used my new die cut envy, which measures just under 5 inches square...I made my card 4.50 x 4.50 inches square...Layered the front with scrapbook paper, that I distressed the edges a bit...Then added my embellishments...
I used a piece of dark blue ribbon attached with gold brads, as I did not want to take away from the flower on the card...but needed a little something to break up the pattern of the scrapbook paper...
I punched two flowers, one I colored blue with ink directly from the pad, one I colored brown, Van Dyke, its one of the Nick Bantock colors...I stamp the Alter It sheet image and used my 1 inch round punch to punch it outta the cardstock, sponged the edges lightly with blue ink I used Betsy flower petal stamp to stamp the petals of the die cut flower...then curled the petals...I layered the flower pices and attached the center with a blue brad...

Design Team Creativity

Dolores Raml, design team member for Debbie's Diecuts http://www.picturetrail.com/debbiesdiecuts has turned the matchbox die cut into a beautiful work of art...The box, with the photo holder handle is a perfect little drawer to keep the beautiful gift tag cards in...And, if you like this one...stayed tuned...we have some more ideas for this coming soon...
