Painted Moo and Box...
Painted die cuts
I basecoated a chipboard moo with off white acrylic paint, I painted rose buds and leaves, spattered with burgundy paint...
I stamped the mom and baby image onto a nestie die cut shape, painted with acrylic paints...this shape is cut from white 110# cardstock...
this is the large nestie bird shape, cut from chipboard and basecoated with white acrylic paint, then I did a wash of blue for the sky area and green for the ground area...then freehand painted the little scene...this one was fun to paint...y'all...I think I am addicted to my painting again...yeah...Painted Stamped Snowman...
I stamped the snowman onto a plain coaster, and painted using acrylic paints to color him in...I shaded and highlighted the detail areas...
Close up of the coaster to show the detail of the rubber stamped image with the painting on it...

Painted inchies and a twinchie....
This twinchie is made from watercolor paper, rubber stamped with Ranger Jet Black Archival ink, stamped with an image from The Stamping Studio, and painted with acrylic paints...My Painting Area and more...
This is the lid for a paper mache box I painted today...
The bottom of the box is done to look like blue spatterware...
This is an older piece I had done in the mid 90's...it was amongst some older painting books...Monday, May 04, 2009

Dancing Cow Bowl
I love to paint wooden and terra cotta dishes, trays, bowls, etc...I have one in my kitchen that holds keys, etc...I use them as catch alls for change and other pocket stuff too...I base coated the bowl in white acrylic paint, transferred the outline of the cow and then painted all the detail freehand...I spattered the bowl with black acrylic paint using a toothbrush...More painted cards...

I stayed up and painted a couple more cards last night...Its been years since I painted a bluebird...last time I painted this one was on a terra cotta pot...I think the little birthday bear is so cute...I have painted this one a few times before...on a tee shirt for a friends child and on canvas panel...

Cheesebox Keepsake

I forgot I still had this piece, it stays in the top of my closet and contains lots of older momentos from my childhood, and my kids when they were little...one special thing in there is my chewing gum chain, which I still have...and absolutely love it...those old chewing gum wrappers are so cool and colorful...I will have to photograph it one day and show ya...
anyway...I used to get these cheeseboxes from the local farmers market and I would paint them and sell them at craft shows...I painted probably a dozen over the years...this was one of my favorites, so I decided to keep it...I still have two cheeseboxes in storage, I may just have to paint them up soon...

Decorative painting from the past
This is a wooden plate I painted years ago...The outer edge is done is a deep mauve that was then sponged, the center was painted with the birdhouse and dogwood blossom scene...
This is a terra cotta pot with a chickadee painted on it...I did a whole set of pots, with different birds on them and this one I decided to keep for myself...I sold all the others at a birding shop...
Hand painted card
More decorative painting today...

Decorative Painting in The Studio.....
I have really been missing my painting days here lately...I still have some mini wood shapes and so I decided to pull a few out and play...this is my mini pig...he is so cute...I used to make these as shadow box pieces...
This is my favorite little chicken...I used to make her into a magnet and sold them like crazy at craft shows....
Same chicken as above, but in blue...
Well, just working with those mini shapes was not enough...I had to pull out some lumber and crank up the band saw...gees, i hope hubby does not miss that piece of wood...oh well...I had fun...LOL...I cut out my shapes, sanded and painted them...This is my sheep/lamb shape...i used a wood pattern for the shape, but the detail work is all free hand and my own design...
Here is my pig...I just love this little guy...I will have more pigs later...
