Birds in Blue

I am just loving these bird nesties from Spellbinders...The card base is from a piece of embossed cardstock I have had for years, so not a clue on it...The pattern paper, same thing, except it was a 8.5 x 11 sheet at one time, now I just have a few random scraps of it left...I used my Martha border punch, I love those punches...and added a piece of the pattern paper to begin my color scheme, I cut the large and medium bird from white cardstock, colored with Stonewashed blue Adirondack ink, then embossed with my Cuttlebug embossing folders, and rubbed more ink over the embossed areas...I added a piece of beautiful ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon, and some silk flowers...I then punched that Martha punch using two colors of cardstock, that coordinated for my foliage behind the flower, I used some flower buttons and gold brads to embellish the flower and ribbon...

Fall Scene with ISC...

I love each stamp that Betsy creates...I wanted to ink up some of the new images I have gotten and made this card...This scene actually looks like the woods across from my home...there is an old road and its lined with trees...Check out all Betsy images at

Red Bird Card with ISC

I just had to ink something...gees, its been so long since I got to play any at all...One more day...LOL...then I am off for 5 days...yeah...Tax season is tough...and I am pooped...
I just had to share some of my new goodies...I got the new stamp sheets from ISC...You can check out there stamps at ISC I also ordered the Spellbinders nested birds...from ISC...Betsy can order all sorts of goodies for ya...I used a sponge and rubbed some blue and green ink on the card front...to kinda create a landscape background...I used to do this with paints on canvases to create some of the scenes I would paint...I inked up some various solid image flower stamps and stamped, first, second and third generation stampings of them...I stamped the limb once, then added only part of the limb again, I added the flower with a mini brad...I die cut the nestie bird, and cuttlebug embossed, then colored with ink using a sponge...I added the little acrylic stone for the eye and attached to the card using a pop dot...I sponged brown ink all around the edges...

Playin' in the studio today

This is a magnet made from a chipboard inchie and one of the beautiful inchie collage pieces from Lisa's Altered Art images...I sealed the entire piece with Glossy Accents and added a piece of magnet strip to the back...I am going to make a few of these and give them as a Christmas gift to a friend...

This is a wooden piece, I painted off white, added dark brown edges and sponged the dark brown over the edge...I love this look...I added the cat image and sealed with glossy accents, I added a pin back to this one...
This will be a charm, it was too wet to drill the hole for the jump ring...so that will have to wait, but I may decide to make a pin out of it...I have not decided yet...this is mine...my hubby collects wolf stuff and I like to use the magazine clippings to make altered art of the wolves...

This is a charm for a necklace...I may sell this one...I am going to make a few more of these...
I only had a couple hours to play today...so hopefully will get more done on my next studio play date...

Sharing my Crocheted pieces

Granny square blanket, this was a use of scraps to make the squares and put together for a quilted effect...
Moma made a whole bunch of these blankets for me to give to my friends one year...mine of course had to have the dark green background...I used to use it as a throw on my bed...I had my friend choose their favorite color for the background of their blankets...

My moma made this for my grand daughter...its crocheted, then the letters are cross stitched onto the crocheted areas...

she line the blanket with flannel for a quilted effect...

Moma made this rug for me years ago...I had a bedroom that was all done in green, peach and cream...this was a rug, but I used it as a throw over a bench at the end of the bed...I could not have it ruined by walking on it...LOL...

This was another crocheted rug, but I used it as a throw across the foot of my bed...

This is a baby blanket moma made for Kelsey, my first granddaughter...it only got used a couple times...I didn't want it to get messed up...

These are some fun fur scarves I made a couple years ago...I gave lots of them away that year as gifts...

These are a couple of the doilies I made years ago...most of my other crocheted stuff is still packed in boxes in the studio storage room...I will locate them later...the brown doily was actually part of a set, they were coasters for my living room tables way back when...most of the crocheted pieces I did were from vintage patterns, and I gave most of it away as gifts...

My ISC stamps...

I have spent the last few studio visits rearranging and organizing my ISC stamps...I have over 65 sheets of Betsy's images...and even have the first single images she ever made...Yeah...I would say I am an Innovative Stamp Creations addict...I have sorted my stamps into various groupings, based on the way and projects I use them in...I am going to catalog all the verses and word stamps tho...as it will make them easier to find and use...I hope to start on that this weekend...I was using 3 times this much space before I started this reorganizing...I used my empty Sizzix dies clear acrylic boxes to organize most of them...and then used some various sizes of clear plastic containers for the others...I am going to organize my other unmounteds too...but with so many from ISC I had to work on these first...Now, if I could just find a way to have more that 12 inches of work space on my table...gees...where does this stuff come from and how does it get on my table to clutter it so quickly...
