Coaster Accordion Book
Bind it all, lots of uses
I use my bind it all hole spacing for marking holes that I punch using a hole punch, when I dont need all six holes that the bind it all makes....
I only wanted three holes in the cardstock ATC book, so I marked the spacing and used my Crop a dile to punch the holes...
then I can still use the spiral binding and bind using the bind it all machine...I also used one clear snap ring on another cardstock ATC mini book, just punching one hole in the top left corner...the books can be taken back apart to paint and decorate and then put back together, or can be left as they are and decorated with the binding intact...

Book mark for swap
Faux fabric background was made using blue acrylic paint, mouse and feet prints was stamped in black archival ink, mouse was painted with acrylic paints, and then Ranger glossy accents over that to make him dimensional...I sealed the entire piece with waterbased varnish...then glued on the lace with glossy accents...
Terra cotta and paper mache
Two of my favorite surfaces to paint on are terra cotta and paper mache...this is a little tiny terra cotta tray about the size of a silver dollar...I painted it dark blue, then added the snowman head in the bottom and sponged the edges...
Snowman box and book
This is truly an altered art piece...I dont like to throw out anything that I might be able to create something new from...This little thin round box, is actually one of those Laughing Cow Cheese boxes...thats good cheese by the way...anyway...I basecoated the box with off white acrylic paint, then with 3 coats of blue, I wanted it very midnight dark blue in color...I painted the snowman head on the cover, then spattered the box with white and light blue paints...sealed with 3 coats of waterbased varnish...I was going to just use it as it was...but no...I had to go one step further...and make a mini book to go with it...
Using my 4 inch round die cut from chipboard I made covers for a book that will fit perfect inside the box...It will use a clear snap ring or silver ball chain closure...both of those are in my studio, so I will have to wait and get them later to bind the book...anyway...I basecoated the chipboard circles in the same dark blue, free hand painted the snowman and spattered the covers with white paint...I sealed each with waterbased varnish...
I used white paint on my stamp to stamp the back of the book, I cut white cardstock pages for the book and sponged them with dark and light blue paints, mixed on the sponge...then spattered with white paint too...this will be a perfect little book to share snowday photos in and the little box, will look nice as a year round decoration....

Faux background paper Envy and ATC for swap
I used one of my favorite butterfly images from ISC http://innovativestampcreations.com to stamp the butterfly randomly on the cardstock, then die cut my ATC envy...I used acrylic paint, thinned with water, to color each butterfly,
Painted ATC's for swap
I coated the chipboard ATC's with white acrylic paint, then used two colors and green stippled onto the dry base coat, painted the tree limb and leaves, then glued the beautiful collage http://lisasalteredart.com image onto the tree limb, used a liner brush to write the message and then sealed with waterbased varnish...I brought one of the limbs and some leaves over the bird nest to kinda sit the nest onto the limb...
I did a faux chambray demin fabric background on this ATC...then glued on the collage image from http://lisasalteredart.com and wrote the message with paint and a liner brush...sealed it with waterbased varnish when all was dry...
