ATC Accordion Inspiration Book

I told y'all, I was addicted to these books...I had to make one today, using my ATC die cuts and ATC frame die cuts and Mini ATC die cuts...I used various Cuttlebug embossing folders on the panels of the accordion book...various Hero Arts foliage images stamped on the mini atc shapes, Stampabilities images and Innovative Stamp Creations images...stamped on vellum and attached with brads...

I used my stipple brushes and various Adirondack inks to add color to each page...I used Walnut distress inks to accent all the edges of each piece...See more of my accordion ATC book original design creations and projects in the next few postings...

ATC Accordion Scrapbook with Page Protectors-Original Project Designed by Debbie Bankston

These little ATC Scrapbooks are so addictive...I am having a blast making them...and I have so many of them started with all sorts of looks...I will share them as I get them finished...
These are the pages of each book...This is the inside folded section...
This is the back side folded section...and shows the back covers of each book...

Close ups of the day at the park book pages after I added the written journaling...
I made this book for my hubby...this is his/our lab...he already had the dog when we first started dating...but once I was in the picture, he is my dog too...
He was actually 2 when this photo was taken, but, I wanted to document his birthday, which is the same at Elvis...
He used to love to lay across the top of his dog house...that little part that sticks outta the dogloo looking house...so I snapped this photo of him one day...
He was just chillin out this day...and I snapped a few photos of him...I think sometimes, he knows when I have a camera in my hand...LOL...For more info about my ATC books read the next few posts...more details are there...

ATC Accordion Scrapbook with Page Protectors

My ATC Mini Scrapbooks are among my favorite books to make now...I love using the elastic cording for the binding method...so quick and simple...This project is perfect even if you don't rubber stamp, cause it can be made using just scrapbooking materials...
I create my accordion panel, cut my ATC die cuts and ATC frame die cuts...ran the frames thru different Cuttlebug folders, colored with some inks...slipped them into there little page protectors and then attached them to the panel using double stick tape...
Close up of the ATC sleeve attached to the accordion book panel...I use double stick tape to hold the page protector in place...
This side of the book uses photos with the ATC frames...I also use a small piece of double stick tape on the back of each little layout to hold it securely in the page protectors....
This side just uses the photos trimmed to fit the ATC die cuts...Journaling can be added using a label maker, or just written or even stamped and layered onto the photos/layouts before placing into the sleeve...

File Card Book with ATC Mini Scrapbook Surprise...

This File Card Book project was so much fun to make...I used file cards cut from ivory colored cardstock...rubber stamps from Purple Onion Designs...I love those images for scrapbook layouts...be sure to check out http://www.purpleoniondesigns.com/ for more info on Michele's stamps...

I used various fall themed decorative buttons throughout the book as embellishments...they were perfect to accent the photos on each layout...
Don't you just love surprises...I love to add mini fold over or accordion books as extra photo ops to larger books and layouts...I designed this accordion foldover mini book around my custom ATC die cut...I trimmed the photos so they could be layered onto the ATC die cuts, then slipped into page protectors, or ATC sleeves and then attached using double stick tape to the page sections...
Here is the accordion book opened up...with the photos of 3 of our grand children on them...
This is the back cover of the book...I used 6 cardstock file cards to make this book...Bind it all binding and beautiful fall colored ribbon tied to the wires finished the overall look I wanted...For more info about the file card book kit see my studio blog and look for the file card book label...

ISC has new stamps coming...

Oh my gosh...check out Betsy's blog http://innovativestampcreations.blogspot.com/ she has some awesome new stamps coming September 2...The samples her designers have been making are beautiful...ISC prices are great too, as the quality of her images is superb...I am an ISC fan from way back and I buy just about every stamp sheet she creates...I am so looking forward to ordering the new ones...I don't get nothing for saying this...I am just a major fan...and when I like something, I like to tell others about it...You can see all of Betsy's stuff on her website at

Make n Take project...

I joined my local "Women's Club" last month...I was asked to host next month's meeting and show what I do...I am among the younger members and most of them are mid 60's to 80's...they are a delightful group of women, but, most don't have a clue what "rubber stamping" or "scrapbooking" is...or at least on the level that I do it...so, I put together this little make and take project for them to do, get some ink on their fingers and make a card with a fall theme...
The card will fit in my large square envy, so they can send it to someone if they want to...I used my Hero Arts shadow stamps and foliage stamps to make the card...The verse is from Victorine Originals...I aded the punched leaf stem, as it needed another element of layering...The ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon...The meetings usually have around 20 people...so this will be a fun quick project to do with them...I am also going to demo a simple scrapbook layout, by having all the pieces ready and then put it together to show them the process...

Oh My Frames...A great gift project...

I had so much fun designing this project...This is an original design project, using my die cut frames...This project uses my custom design square frame...the frame is 4 x 4 with a 2 x 2 opening...I made a folder for the frames to be mounted in...this will fold flat for mailing, giving, etc...I cut pattern paper frames, cut them apart and reversed them on the chipboard bases...I used ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon in perfectly matching colors...thats the awesome thing about Debbie's ribbons...she has colors to match everything out there...
This is the back side of the frame folder...I have not embellished it yet...I have photos of my grand daughter that will go into each frame...
The frames have been attached on each side and across the bottom using red liner tape...the photos will be slipped in thru the top...this will allow for photos to be changed as needed...Oh, wait til you see the next one I am working on...
I had to start one with a masculine theme...did not have time to do any more to this one yet...but the colors are great for a manly photo to go into...I used the oval inside frame and I like the look of this one...I have another one in the works...but will wait until its complete before I show it...

The Hoosier Cabinet is in...finally...

Yeah...we got the hoosier moved in...This was my grandmothers cabinet...she used it in her kitchen, way back in the day...the flour mill still works...I will use this cabinet for various storage and supplies...I am just thrilled to finally get to use the cabinet for my stuff...
this photo is a little blurry...but this is the shelving area for my sizzix dies and other things that need to be stacked here...I have not moved the rest of my sizzix stuff in yet...

Book of Cards

This is a scrapbook I made filled with cards and letters that my husband sent me and gave me during the first 6 months of us dating...We had a long distance relationship for a while, and the cards and letters kept us close until we saw each other next...This is a spiral bound book, black cardstock pages, and I layered pattern papers that coordinated with each card...I enjoy going back thru the book reading the messages and looking at the cards...
This is the inside front cover of the book...it was the first photo he sent me...I sure love that face...
These are some of the pages using the pattern papers, cardstocks and the cards layered...

The red page on the right also has a small pocket under the card, that contains a letter he wrote...I made pockets for any letters included with the cards, or cards that contained writing on the backs...
The book is becoming somewhat tattered, from looking thru it so much...I used to take it with me when I would demo and teach...so I am thinking of redoing it and making 3 or 4 thinner books from it using my bind it all...This is still one of my favorite projects I have ever done...and one of the most requested for me to show...Quite a few of my students and customers in the past have used the idea to make similar books...my hubby is still just as romantic with his cards for me...but, I would have to make so many books to do all my cards this way...I just keep the others in a drawer...
