I do not know why the colors are so different from photo to photo...they were all made at the same time, same lighting, etc...Oh well...I did these collage stamped pieces in 2003 and 2004...they were gifts for my husband before we were married...This one I made in 2004...I computer generated the verses on a sheet of cardstock then I stamped the background using various images and colors of Ranger inks, then stippled the entire piece with inks...
The computer part was printed with a laser printer...I did let it set up for a day, before doing the stamping and adding the stippled inks...I wanted to make sure the black ink was cured somewhat before I added wet inks over it...My husband collects wolf stuff...with knowing this as we were dating...I bought this wolf image and used it as the main stamped image in the background...
I also stamped the same images, inks, etc onto a mat and framed it all...He hung it on the wall next to his bed, and thats where it still hangs today...I think this was the piece I gave him for our first anniversary...
This is not really collage stamped, as the words are computer generated and the background is actually made from torn papers, but it could be done with stamping as well...I used an acrylic box frame and a decorative mat...
I layered mulberry and decorative papers over a piece of cardstock, computer generated the message onto vellum, then tore each piece out and attached to the cardstock background with eyelets...
This was the first piece I made my hubby in 2003...I found this frame at dollar general, its a dark blue 8x8 frame...and it was perfect for what I had in mind...we knew from our first date, we were meant to be together...I had started buying stamps, that I wanted to use in making cards and projects for him...
I started with a plain piece of cardstock, cut to fit the frame...then I stamped the script images first, repeatedly across the piece, then begain layering the other stamped images over that, working from the lighter ink colors to the bolder or darker colors last...The lighter colors and images were stamped more often to create some movement within the piece, where the darker stamped images are only stamped once, they come forward and make a statement...I added some stippling with butterscotch ink to soften the entire piece, and it looks very nice in the dark blue frame...

these are all amazing Debbie: I love them!
Each is a little different; but they're all wonderful!
