Skinny Minny Max Book-New Book Design by Debbie Bankston

This is my newest book kit design...I have had this in the works for a few months...but with all the family illness, I had to put it on hold...I call this my Skinny Minny Max Book...its the largest skinny book kit I have...Ok...Here goes...I started with the white cardstock book pages...3 colors of Nick Bantock Inks...I love those inks...I got mine from Betsy at Innovative Stamp Creations...Mist the cardstock, then mist a sponge, ink up the sponge using the lightest ink color...
I started with the yellow...be sure that the cardstock and the sponge are moist enough, but not dripping with water...clean the sponge off on paper toweling, before going into the next color
Spritz cardstock only as needed...spritz more water on the sponge, then pick up the next color of ink, this time it was the deep pink color...use less of it, because its a strong color...
Clean the sponge off again, re wet sponge and ink up with green ink...after applying the green ink, clean sponge, re wet and soften any areas you need to...You need to work quickly...so you don't have to keep re-wetting the cardstock...
After I got each piece finished...I layed them to the side to dry...
After they are completely dry...I stamped with some images to create a background for the photos I am using in this book...I love the new stamps I got from Innovative Stamp Creations and this queen annes lace looking image was perfect for the black shadow effect I like...
I added the pink flourishes, because I love that flourish stamp...and becuase I was working with pink, black and lime green...

I covered the chipboard book cover with pattern paper, then overstamped using the flourish stamp and the word Always...Betsy designed that stamp just for me...Its "our" word...The first letters we ever wrote to each other, we signed with the word always and our names...and since we have been together since that first meeting...That word is very special to us...and I love this stamp...I added some punched flowers and a small bracket that I ran the Cuttlebug dots folders and colored the raised areas black...
This is the insde cover...I will go back and add some other things later...This book is using photos from our wedding ...our 3 year anniversary is coming up in May...
This is the first page in the book...I had to turn this page long ways...cause there was no cropping this photo...My girlfriend from Alabama, came and too photos for us...She did a good job...I love my wedding bouquet...and will treasure it always...
This was my favorite part of the ceremony...You may kiss the bride...Well, except for the music, which made up both teary eyed...
This is the preacher that married us...he and my hubby have been friends since school...He is a good preacher too...

These little angels were adorable...our grand daughters are the ones on each side, the middle one is our niece...
These are my hubby's parents...We got married at their house, on the veranda over looking the "pond"...I call it a lake, but they call it a pond...
When my hubby's parents asked what we wanted for the ceremony...I said barbeque ribs, tater salad and cupcakes...So thats what I got...My father in law cooked some killer ribs...I made tater salad and cupcakes...Raspberry sherbert and gingerale punch...
My mother in law said I had to have a cake to cut tho...So I went to Wal Mart and bought a white on white cake, with the word Always written across the top in white icing...bought a little bride and groom topper and some doves...voila...instant wedding cake to cut...
Ok...I hope I didn't lose ya in the mix there...Did ya notice I used mini brackets, small brackets and flourishes and swirls on some of the layouts...I love the look of my Skinny Minny Max book...and have another one already started...The Skinny Minny Max book is 3.5 x 8.5 its a wonderful size for all sorts of projects...Check out my studio blog shortly for ordering info...
