Simple Pop Out Card
This is the outside of the card layed flat...you would decorate this part now...this is an A2 panel.
This is the inside pop out panel...accordion folded...this part is cut 1/4 inch smaller all around than the outside of the card...fold in half, then accordion the panel...
Painted books
Painted chipboard and cardstock
I painted this little scene on a Moo sized chipboard die cut...this was fun to paint...freehand, right outta my head...I know, y'all are thinking...gees what is in her head...LOL...I basecoated the acid free chipboard moo card with white acrylic paint, then did a wash of blue for the sky and brown for the ground...I wanted more of a plowed field look, rather than all green...this is kinda how the area looks right now, with the farmers getting the fields ready to plant...

Painted boxes and frame
I love to paint and decorate paper mache pieces...I found these little shaped boxes in my stash of stuff from years ago...I based coated each one with white acrylic paint, then added the decorative painting, I painted each box bottom to coordinate with the painting on top and then sealed everything with waterbased varnish...
The sides and bottoms of each box shown above...
Small square paper mache box...I decided to do little bird houses, instead of a barn type house for this scene...
This is a chipboard frame cut from my custom die I had made...I wanted a 4 inch frame with a 2 inch opening...I like having the 1 inch wide frame for decorating...I will definately be doing more of these frames...i enjoyed painting this one...i basecoated the chipboard with off white acrylic paint, two coats, then I added a wash of blue color for the sky and green for the grass area...then painted in the details of the scene...

when I base coat my chipboard and paper mache pieces, I generally use two to three coats of white or off white acrylic paint...I paint each basecoat on, going the opposite direction with each coat...first coat side to side, second coat, top to bottom, then i kinda sand the piece using either very fine sanding disc or a piece of brown paper bag, then add a final coat if needed going the side to side direction again...this seems to give a smoother surface for working on...

Folk art style cat, on watercolor paper, I transferred the cat shape, then did the detail freehand...he may turn out to be a card front...still pondering him...

Painted Chipboard die cuts
I die cut the pear from chipboard, basecoated off white, washed the sky with blue and the grass with green...We have lots of old barns here where I live...so I tend to paint lots of barns...
Fall is my favorite time of year...and I love pumpkins...hmmm...Pumpkin bread...oh, I was painting this one...I decided to paint a fall scene with a little house on the chipboard pumpkin die cut...I basecoated the pumpkin with off white paint and washed the sky blue and the field area in a deep yellow...I could live in that little cottage...
I think these will both be book covers...a pear book and a pumpkin book...yep...books...

Hand painted ATC's
This is the first time I stamped my Magnolia image I won from Donalda's Blog, quite a while back...I stamped her on a watercolor paper ATC...colored her in using acrylics thinned down to watercolor consistency...I think she is pretty cool...
Butterfly card, Gingerbread Mom and baby, Apple Mini Book
Butterfly image from Innovative Stamp Creations, stamped with Ranger Jet Black Archival ink, acrylic paints thinned to a watercolor consistency...
These gingerbread people were so much fun to paint...I painted the large one like the mom and the little one like her baby boy...
Closer view of the details...

The Mini Apple Book was fun to make...I started out basecoating the chipboard apple with off white paint, then did a wash of green for the grass area and blue for the sky area...I freehand painted the little scene onto the apple...I decided I wanted to make a book out of it...so I cut out some green apples for the pages and another chipboard apple for the back cover, basecoated it in green...I used my Crop a dile to punch the holes for my spiral bind it all binding...
